Search Engine Optimization and Link Building Case Study for Westside Adventures

In January of 2008, http://www.westsideadventures.com, an established provider of fishing and hunting guided tours in Mexico and South America, approached Search Concepts to improve their natural search result rankings in the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and MSN. Westside Adventures specified which keywords to apply search engine optimization efforts towards, and combined with this input, we researched additional keywords that would bring a targeted visitor interested in their offering.

With keyword research completed, Search Concepts began optimizing various pages of the Westside Adventures web site. Along with content optimization, Search Concepts implemented an aggressive link building campaign featuring directory and article submissions. Within the first few major search engine re-indexings, the rankings improved right away even attaining several first page rankings in Google, Yahoo! and MSN. Based on the monthly ranking report results, we continued to make optimization adjustments to the sites' pages for certain keywords needing more improvement.

As of July 2008, Westside Adventures' homepage and various subpages maintain mostly 1st page rankings in Google, Yahoo! and MSN. When queried, their suggested keywords of Mexico Bass Fishing, Brazil Peacock Bass Fishing and Mexico Hunting Trips produce their site's listing on the first page of all the aforementioned search engines. To this day, we continue to maintain these rankings and improve certain keyword rankings by continuing our link building and content optimization efforts.
